What Medi-Trust is

Medi-Trust sits on a tabletop and is about the size of a small countertop appliance. It is built for a patient who takes several medications a day, and for the caregiver who is responsible for them.

Inside is a locked spindle that holds up to 15 different pills and 3 liquid medications. The caregiver loads it and secures it; the patient does not handle the medications before a dose. On the front is a touchscreen where the caregiver sets the schedule: which medications, and at what times.

When a dose is due, the device sounds an alarm 15 minutes ahead. At the scheduled time, the cup dispenses the exact dose. The patient takes it, and a video confirms the dose was taken. That video goes straight to the caregiver's app, so the person responsible knows what happened without a phone call or a pill count.

The app, the portal and the device are encrypted.

How it works

Four steps, the same every day.

  1. 1. Load

The caregiver opens the device, loads the pills and liquids onto the spindle and locks it.

  2. 2. Schedule

On the front touchscreen, the caregiver sets which medications are due and when.

  3. 3. Alarm and dispense

An alarm sounds 15 minutes before the dose. At the scheduled time, the exact dose drops into the cup.

  4. 4. Video confirmation

The device records the patient taking the dose and sends the video to the caregiver's app.

Who benefits

For caregivers

You see the dose taken, on video, in your app, not a checkbox or a count of what is left in the bottle. You load and lock the spindle, set the schedule once on the touchscreen, and the device handles the alarm and the dispensing.

For facilities

Scheduled dispensing from a locked spindle that residents can't get into, and a video record of each dose that staff and families can see. That is visibility facilities don't have today.

For distributors

One device that handles pills and liquids, with a plain story to tell: the caregiver loads it, the patient gets a cup, and every dose is confirmed on video. Use the form below to start the conversation.
